Portals

I mostly buy records out of bargain bins at thrift shops and Salvation Army stores. One day I found a beautiful image of a girl on the cover of an old junk record I had bought. She sat on the beach with her arms draped over her knees, making a triangle that you could see through, like a window or a portal. Ardina and I play a game in the pool where you try to swim through these “portals.” I think she has played this game since she was a kid. I started to look for “portals” on album covers and was surprised to see the patterns that came from sampling and repeating them. Click on a thumbnail to see a larger image.
